ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Mr. Abdul-Rauf Yahaya is currently serving as the Regional Administrative Officer at the Zakat and Sadaqa Fund, overseeing the Northern region for the past seven years. His academic journey began with the attainment of his "A" Level certificate from Ghana Secondary School in Tamale in 1995. Following his National Service at Daru-Salam Primary School, he embraced the opportunity to teach Islamic studies at Pong-Tamale Senior High School.
In 2008, Mr. Abdul-Rauf expanded his knowledge by pursuing Youth in Development studies at the University of Ghana. Complementing his educational background, he also completed courses in N.G.O. Project management at the British Council, Ghana. Adding to his diverse professional experience, he served as a Sales Executive Officer at Star Insurance Company.
Mr. Abdul-Rauf's commitment to community development is evident in his role as the Regional Coordinator of the local Non-Governmental Organization, Northern Youth for Peace, Unity, and Development. During his tenure, he organized impactful initiatives such as remedial classes for Muslim individuals, empowerment programs for women, and coordinated a youth-led cultivation project covering 98 acres of rice farm at Kpalkori in the Northern Region.
His engagement extends beyond local boundaries, as he actively participated in National and International conferences, seminars, and workshops. Notably, he attended the IFAD Conference in Senegal in 2010. Demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and a dedication to volunteer work for the sake of Allah, Mr. Abdul-Rauf remains committed to making positive contributions to society.
