Hajj B.M. Adam, an esteemed individual, holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Zakat and Sadaqa Trust Fund. His lifelong commitment to the service of Islam has been manifested through dedicated advocacy at various stages of his academic and professional journey.
A pioneering force, Hajj Adam played a pivotal role as the founding Member of the 1985-88 University of Ghana Muslim Students’ Association (GMSA) Revivalist Movement. His active engagement persists as a Board Member of the National GMSA to date. As a trailblazer in the realm of technology and Islamic outreach, he championed the Computerization & Dissemination of Islamic Dawah & Salient Islamic Texts since 1995.
Hajj Adam's influence extends beyond academia, as demonstrated by his role as the Muslim representative on the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) Education & Advocacy Committee during the 2021 Population Census. Additionally, he is the Founder and Patron of several Muslim Youth Associations nationwide and a regular Resource Person on Ghana Television's Islam & Life Program.
A compassionate advocate for Rural Socio-Economic Empowerment, particularly in the 5 Northern Regions of Ghana, Hajj Adam mobilizes resources from Islamic NGOs to provide Mechanized Potable Water Systems, construct Modern Mosques, Islamic schools, and Sanitation Systems. He also facilitates connections between Brilliant but Needy Students and Islamic Philanthropists groups worldwide.
Formerly the Regional Finance Manager at the Community Water & Sanitation Agency in the Greater Accra Region, Hajj B.M. Adam boasts a diverse career. His professional journey spans roles such as an accounting tutor at Wa Senior High School, Regional Internal Auditor at the Controller & Accountant General Department, and Project Accountant for the Urban II World Bank Project in Ghana.
A graduate of the Business School at the University of Ghana, Hajj Adam continually enhances his skills through training. Notably, he is 'Malaysia-Trained' in World Bank Project Procurement Procedures and holds expertise in Project Evaluation and World Bank Accounting Reporting Procedures. Furthermore, he completed 'EASAMI-ARUSHA TANZANIA-Trained' programs focusing on computerized Accounting Systems, including Navision Accounting Software, Db flex, Tally, among others.
Hajj Adam's significant contributions and impactful work have earned him numerous accolades from various universities and Muslim Associations across Ghana and West Africa, underscoring his profound influence in both academic and humanitarian spheres.
