PROGRAMS OFFICER
Mr. Sherif Heiman Shaban is a dedicated and proactive individual committed to achieving results and fostering teamwork for enhanced efficiency. With a strong emphasis on participatory leadership and followership, he is known for his reliability and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, Mr. Sherif thrives in dynamic environments and readily accepts responsibilities and challenges.
Academically, he holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, along with a West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate from St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Accra, a Junior High School Certificate from Kotoka ‘A’ Basic School, Burma-Camp and from Hamdaniyya Islamic School, Accra New Town, in Arabic/ Islamic Education.
In terms of work experience, Mr. Sherif has served in various capacities, including as a Primary School Teacher at Alhaji Saka Memorial School and a High School Teacher of Government & Social Studies at Tuba Islamic Secondary School. Additionally, he has held roles such as Bursar and Orphans Project Coordinator at Hamdaniyya Islamic School. More recently, he served as the General Manager at Iqra Educational Centre and currently holds the position of Programs Manager at the Zakat and Sadaqa Trust Fund of Ghana, embodying core values of trust, dedication, accountability, and faith.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Sherif is actively engaged in extracurricular activities, demonstrating proficiency in computer literacy, social work, and a passion for writing and reading. He is the founder of the Halal Jobs Initiative [NGO] and a Co-Founder of the Islamic Finance Research Institute of Ghana [IFRIG], a registered non-governmental organization focused on research, advocacy, training, and education. He is also a Co-Founder of Sadaqa Train Foundation, a registered charity organization in Ghana.
Fluent in English, Mr. Sherif also possesses basic proficiency in Arabic and is conversant in Ga, Twi, Tem, and Hausa languages. As a committed individual with diverse skills and experiences, he continues to make meaningful contributions to various sectors and communities.
